If I were the patrol agent I would not feel very protected by a lame sling shot. They should at least have something that looks dangerous so that people will be scared to cross.

I think the border patrol should be handing out welcome to the USA brochures that detail how to subvert US law and get by as an illegal alien.
Our border patrol should be issued every weapon imaginable including sling shots. Personally, I think they should sow the river bottom with caltrops wicked enough to go through a man's shoe. They'll discourage wading.

Don't think sling shots will get the job done. What needs to be done is for the politicans to let the military, border patrol agents, any law enforecement officer to do what they are being paid to do. What happened to the border patrol agents who were sent to jail is the worst decision that judge could've made. If people don't speak up about this to their politicans and pass around your remarks about this incident, then things will get worse not better.
I don't understand why more politicans and media are speaking out on this incident.
