I'm sure those people applying for resident alien status legally don't appreciate being put at the end of the list. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions. If our government can’t solve this problem, maybe we can.

If you are here illegally, then you should be d-e-p-o-r-t-e-d, not allowed to abuse American social services, ignore paying taxes, and steal jobs because you can work a lot cheaper than those of us born here. Those who are applying legally to work here, my hats off to you. I hope this country is everything you expect and so much more. Welcome to the land of opportunity, I would say freedom, but that is a topic for another discussion. For those of you saying that by speeding or whatever, it's just as bad as entering illegally, no, it isn't. Speeding is a misdemeanor that is punishable by jail time in most states. If you get caught, you will pay. You know the risks. If you are going to use that excuse to justify them being here, then by the same right you have justified someone shooting illegals. It's the dumbest thing I ever heard. This is the reason different violations of the law carry different penalties. You break the law, you ought to pay if you get caught. Sorry.
How many of you speed? How many of you cheat on your taxes? Don't state the law when it's convenient for you...

Do you know how long it would take the immigrants to obtain a green card 11-12 years . They would obtain a work permit first.

immigrants is what our country is made of if it weren't for immigrants there would be no america.but now that we are formed and many of us live succesful productive lives, something should be done about illegal immigrants, the government needs to listen to the people and take suggestions seriously, something needs to be done soon, or before you know it we will be like china and have limits on the number of children we have.
Is that why Mexicans are the last to be considered. Some one at the INS told me that they put Mexicans at the end of the list and consider all others first. I guess they would rather have Iranians, and Iraqis buying all our gas stations. But that's our government. And we sit here and wonder why so many have to to it illegally.

The legal citizens and resident aliens need to refuse to pay taxes until the government deports all of the illegals. Money is the only thing our elected idiots understand.
I just have to say you are dead on with your statement.they are breaking our laws, and nothing short of deportation and/or criminal prosecution is the right direction. I will also add that until we secure our borders, every other solution will be futile...as in the case of the illegal alien in NC who was driving drunk and killed someone. He had already been deported twice, but kept finding ways back in...(not that you have to be a member of Mensa to do that)..I am not a violent person, but I could really see letting the family members whose loved one he killed, be allowed to beat the crap out of him in a public square.
Many of the illegals don't know English, so they literally don't know the meaning of the word illegal. Illegal alien is a term that pro-illegals people don't like, and the anti-illegals don't like the term undocumented worker (because it is B.S., they have documents, but they are forged or stolen). I propose a new term for illegal aliens aka undocumented workers - Los Reconquistadors! I am sure that members of La Raza and MECHA would love the term.
The pro illegal alien types don't care about right or wrong, they just want to let the illegals become citizens so that the Dem party and La Raza will gain more power. Most illegals will vote for Dems because they are the party of minorities and govt handouts, and most illegals are so poor that they will qualify for billions in govt social programs. Any Repub who votes for this bill is helping his party to commit suicide!
I love the "America was built on immigration" argument. Most of my family came to the U.S. in the eighteen hundreds. They spoke English, although they were Icelanders. They went through quarantine (separated form each other), they came through Ellis Island and truthfully gave their names and occupations. Illegals do none of this. They press their culture upon us. Steal jobs and money from US citizens, and wrongfully use government services they have no right to. The only solution is to deport these people. After deportation they can apply for a work visa, after proving a working knowledge of our language and history. They can have a full medical exam, proving no communicable disease. After working five years, with no exemptions on their taxes, they can then apply for citizenship, with no guarantees.
Illegal immigrants are federally illegal. The issue that most people have about them is in their state. Also, everyone looks for a scapegoat to lay all the "economic" problems on.
While you were complaining about the "illegals" in this country did you notice that the government "quietly" announced that they were bringing over 75,000 + refugees from Iran, Iraq, Burma, and several other prodominantly Muslim based people to our major cities to be housed? Why don't you argue that point. Yes, many of them may be women and children and elderly, but hasn't it been mostly women jamas sypathizers that have been bombers in their countries?

While you are too busy worrying about "illegal immigrants" and "Mexicans" (who are actually from different Latino countries) they brought these people in quietly with not much publicity to cities like Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Minneapolis ect. We can communicate with our representatives a demand the law be enforced. I agree with you. We have Pharmacists and dope dealers. We have car dealerships and car thieves. The list is endless. Is there anyone who has trouble saying one is legal and should be allowed while one is a crime and should be stopped?
