Receipt for I-130 filed 30 days ago, how long does it take?
Answer:
Depends on the Service Center you sent it to. See this website for statistics on time lines. Also an excellent source of information. Good luck to you!

The time it takes varies. Some things which can add time to the process e.g. any name hits, background or security issues; if your paperwork, documentation or evidence is complete i.e. nothing missing whereby an RFE (request for further evidence) has to be issued; and ultimately how many petitions the particular service center is dealing with at the time.
Which service center will be adjudicating the petition? Vermont Service Center has a very good track record for in general being faster. If you are looking for an immigration forum for information, support etc. have a look at http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/fo... They are only fairly new on the scene but have a great knowledge base with up to date information and resources.
Mine took 159 days (Vermont), but I think it depends on which service center you file from. From there it goes to the Visa Processing Center for further processing and then onto the American consulate in your native country.
Good luck.
If you are a US CITIZEN is more easy. Sometimes takes 2 o 3 months. when you get the response they give you a Number , the go to www.uscis.gov/portal/site/site... o and you can check the status of your case.
