I'm moving abroad for good and changed my name many years ago by deed poll but my birth cert is old name?

I changed my name by deed poll but although ive benn known by that name my birth cert is in original name and as i will have to do legal stuff etc How am i going to prove who i am ?

Answer:
Get a US Passport first.
It should not present a problem if you changed your name by deed poll. You will just need to present the document of deed poll along with you birth cetificate.
When you changed your name you did so by a legal means. Therefore the DEED POLL which stipulated your name change is now a legally recognised document of identification. Providing that you can produce both the original DEED POLL document showing the original and new name you have taken coupled with the original birth certificate you will be o.k.

It may prove slightly more complex than a normal immigration situation but it is not that uncommon.
You should have a certificate to prove yr name change is legal if u do not have this then speak to the birth & death register office in the town u where born they will have a copy
You should have proof you've changed your name by deed poll right? That's all you'd need to show as it would have your original details on.
You don't have a problem as long as you have proof of your name change.
