Yes, that's why very little is being done about it, for real. I don't have a problem with immigrants. I do take issue with the many Mexicans who come to the US illegally, when there's a better way. An illegal immigrant, from anywhere, is a criminal. Mexicans come demanding that America conform into another Mexico instead of respecting and appreciating American culture. I say instead of coming here to fight against the US Government for a better life. Stay in Mexico and fight to make life in YOUR OWN country better. We pay for the schools and services and have a right to say who and how many we will pay for. Our schools are failing and our hospitals are closing due to the strain of illegal immigration. Their sick and children are not more important than our own.

If what you say is true, what a sad future for those states, to be returned to the poverty of the Mexican people. I suppose if you think Mexican nationals are coming to the US as an invasion force to take back lands lost in war then the only way to stop them is to defend ourselves. Since your question is no where near reality my answer is also not realistic.
They and other illegals will stop coming when the USA does 2 things.
1) crack down with huge fines and jail time on owners of companies who hire illegals.

In 1836 the Texans beat the crap out of Santa Ana and took Texas. In the Mexican-American war of 1846-1848 the USA kicked old Santa Ana to the curb again resulting in the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in which Mexico ceded 550,000 square miles to the USA for our payment to them of 15 million dollars.

Read your history. These sates were part of a peace treaty. They "given up" by the Mexican Government during a peace negotiation. Therefore they were not stolen but were part of the cease fire agreement that was agreed upon by both the US and the Mexican governments.
Now if the Mexicans want to take back these states, they need to renegotiate the peace treaty and/or declare war upon the United States. But, we all know that will never happen because these "Brave Mexican People" are not brave enough to fix the problems within their own country.
The logical solution is for the Mexican people to do something about their corrupt government. But, we also know this will not happen, unless the US shuts down the border and forces the Mexican people to have to deal with their government. Mexico is a very rich country with many natural resources. It is a shame her people allow their government to squander away the resources. BTW Mexico has great untapped oil reserves.
If you look at it that way, than the mexicans are angry about what happened over 200 years ago. What do you think California, Texas and Arizona would look like if it was under mexican control? If you haven't noticed, their nation is in shambles. The reason we can't keep them in their OWN country. And the reason our children are coming down with illnesses like Chicken Pox that had been nearly eliminated years ago. If you look at it that way, the United States didn't belong to anyone but the Native American Indians and look at what they have?! We're not angry that the mexicans are here... Actually, illegal immigration has been dealt with in the past successfully. It is just that our current political environment will not allow that to happen. Attached is a very nice article detailing how Eisenhower dealt with this problem and fixed it.

The first marijuana laws were written to scare Mexican immigrants into leaving to keep from spending the rest of their lives in state penitentiaries of Texas, California, Colorado, and Arizona for the possession of a single joint.
The Mexican immigrant population was reduced by about 90% if I'm not mistaken.
