make an info pass to your local immigration office here http://infopass.uscis.gov/
You can do this by mail and then they will ask you to go to the nearest Immigration service center to get fingerprinted and they will issue a new card to you the same day. You can find more details and download the I-90 form that you'll need for this purpose on http://www.uscis.gov/ - Just search for "Renew Green Card" in the search box and you will find the answers.
If you are a permanent alien, you're an illegal resident. If you are a permanent resident, you can't be an alien. Now, I can only guess that you are carrying a faked identity card?
