If in Canada on tour visa is it pretty easy to change status if I get a job?

Answer:
Entering Canada (or the US), you may have only one type of visa.

TOURIST VISA: Allows you to 'see the sights', but not to work (or even look for work), or study.
STUDENT VISA: Allows you to be a tourist and study; most do not allow you to be employed/seek employment. Check the details of the visa issued to you.
WORK VISA: Allows you to be a tourist and work; some do not allow you (or a dependent) to study. Check the details of the visa issued to you.

If you violate the terms of your visa (for example, obtaining a job or even simply seeking employment while on a tourist visa), you cna expect to have your visa summarily terminated and you to be given anywhere from 24 hours to 10 days to leave the country, after which time you will be incarcerated and processed for removal. Upon being processed (or even leaving voluntarily in the time frame given), you will probably be not allowed to re-enter the country for anywhere between 5 years and life.

Therre are extenuating circumstances that can occur in the US and some Eurpoean nations to make the change from one status to another easier, but Canada (as far as I know) doens't have one. The only way to get your status changed is to first leave the country - and then meet all the requirements to obtain the new visa classification ... which, for a work visa, means at least having an offer of employment already in hand in written form when appearing at the border.
no. unlike the us you cannot switch visa like this in canada. go to www.cic.gc.ca this is the govt of canada immg site. it explains all this on the site.
