I think theyre treating the symptoms and not the disease. (And not even treating the symptoms very well!)
The disease is NAFTA. Its caused tremendous job losses in the US and in the Central America (hence the huge influx of immigrants coming here looking for work)
They should be getting rid of NAFTA and be good neighbors and help out Mexico and Central America get their economies goin again. Otherwise the illegal immigrants are just gonna keep comin.
I think it's the most asinine thing i've ever heard. If this passes you can kiss America goodbye. The politicians dont give a crap what the people think and feel. If they did, a hair-brained scheme like this would never even be considered.

we don't need govt wasting time writing new Immigration laws just enforce the laws on the books and if that means deporting 12 million people for breaking the law.

Why are we offering any sort of deal to criminals? It is obvious that they want a "no strings attached" sort of deal. If they don't get it, they will continue to break our laws.
Oh, the respect they have for this nation. We are nothing but a bank for them. Nothing more.
