Do Americans who "Have theirs" and not want others to get theirs?
Answer:
We believe we should "have ours" but times are tough for many in the middle class, though many are doing better in the upper classes. It's easy to blame a particular group for our problems(see Nazi Germany)-we have to blame someone-if not them, then it means we're not smart enough to get rich because we like to believe anyone who works hard, gets an education, etc. in the US can get rich. There are a few stories of people here that became wealthy when they came from poverty-but that's very rare. Most had some money to invest or knew the "right" people...We have our ups and downs but this period is much like the time of the "robber barons". A bigger problem than the immigrants is the disparity between the rich & the poor-the greatest in our history, perhaps. There is a preferenece for corporate welfare over so-called "irresponsible" individuals.
I have mine and I have no problem with someone else getting theres, as long as they did it legally. I don't want my kids to suffer for the acts of all the illegals when it comes to benefits my kids deserve over an illegals that don't deserve them.
I have absolutely no problem with LEGAL IMMIGRATION. I do have a huge problem with ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION! If the Mexicans want to come to the US and make a better lives for themselves, DO IT LEGALLY! PAY YOUR TAXES AND INTO THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM THE SAME AS WE ALL DO! If you want the priveleges of working in the US, then you have to do what all of us have to do.
If you are here ILLEGALLY, get the hell out!
Immigration debate is just thinly veiled racism, xenophobia, jingoism, bigotry.
Whatever term for lowbrow ignorant hatred you choose to apply. It appeals to people of low breeding and intellect.
yes. most of the anti-immigration complaints seem to have the perspective that the country only has so much wealth to distribute. that isn't true, our markets have always evolved and changed size. immigration isn't new and it didn't ruin us in the past. why would anything have changed?
Others to can have whatever we have, all we ask is do it within our laws. It is not so much about life style, as it is about laws, and something called respect.
Everything Americans have they have earned, illegals want everything for nothing. And there are alot of Americans that dont have much, our veterans dont get takin care of because Americas government is to busy taking care of illegals, its ashame when the people who fought for this country to give us the freedoms we have are the ones who suffer for idiots like illegalls. Why dont illegals fight for there own country instead of trying to take ours? You reap what you sow.Stop trying to get something for nothing.
I don't mind someone comming here legally and getting "theirs" legally. I don't mind competition when it's a level playing field. But it's not right to expect American citizens to just hand over everything they have worked for just because someone else wants it. Getting yours doesn't mean destroying someone else in order to get it.
Millions of Americans do not have theirs...47 million Americans do not have health care and cannot get the free health care provided to illegals by middle-class Americans...they are generally refered to as "the working poor"
But none of this really matters...nor does fair...we are a nation of laws all of which are generally ignorned by the mexicans....if we were not a nation of laws perhaps Americans would be fleeing to Canada.....if amnesty is given that may be next for middle-class Americans!
No Amnesty (by any name)
Attrition thru Enforcement
Repeal the 14th Amendment
What is ours is ours; you have no say in the matter. If you think what you push is logical, then someone who can't get a date should be able to share your wife with you. Or take her and your daughters away, because that's what your high-sounding invasion of what is ours has led to.
