Mexico is already independent so the US cant interfere the Mexico.they to declare war
1st the people of Mexico would not want to be the 51st state, 2nd the way Mexico is governed goes way against our ways here in the United States and the clash would be difficult to overcome. Graft is common place in their local governments and forbidden here (seriously). And finally why become the 51st state when you can send 20 million of your least wanted across the border to do odd jobs and send money back; and while there the US Government will educate them, give them health care and more.
What would we want with Mexico.

mexico can not become the 51st state because it would bankrupt this country. the amount of illeagals in this country is already putting a strain on our social services and entitlement programs. by making mexico the 51st state yu would literally have millions of people go on welfare, medicade, social security ect. without paying into the system. a majority of the mexican people do not want to be citizens of the US. the only good thing about mexico becoming a state is the new cash of oil that was found in the gulf would be ours.

Mexico is independent and I don't think that will be the best for both countries. We have millions of illegals but not everybody will be in welfare as you think. A lot of US citizens are taking advantage of the system, people who were lucky enough to be born here and they don't do nothing but ask for everything free. We are not use to get nothing free as you do here, our countries are so poor that we have to work to earn what we want. We are here to work and to be honest but ofcourse for the goverment is better to have illegal people so they can abuse them, they as a company don't have to report that worker to IRS, so they don't pay taxes for those illegal workers because they pay them cash, and whatever amount they want to. I agree that when somewhen comes to your house and they are lazy, criminals, and abusive people you have no choice but to clean up your house and send them out. But what happens with people who work hard every day doing jobs US citizens don't want to do, working long hours and bringing food to your table, humble people who don't hurt anybody, I think they can stay and help us to make USA a better place. I think we all have to learn more about the conditions that illegal people live every day and how they follow rules and do everything possible to get a chence and still don't get anything. They people say I pay with my taxes for them,, remember that these people can't declare tax without a social security number but they are for sure contributing to this contry. Like I mentioned before the eployer are the ones taking advantage of this people. It's a political problem but as you see our 100 cenators had the oportunity to solve this problem days ago when they were together talking about an Emigration Reform. but unfortunatly fail, they just don't have a clue how to solve it, so what did they do? lieve it as it is, no answer, no solution. I know illigal people who had paid a high price to have one oportunity here, just ask to your self, if you were born in a very poor country WHAT WOULD I DO? JUST LET'S BE FAIR.
It might as well be since Mexicans obviously hate there own country since they keep comming here.
