Its sad when the gov't wants to run your household and tell you want you can and can't do, and then give these brats more ammo against you for putting them in their place. I am not talking about abuse, but discipline. Not saying that a spanking is the ultimate resort, but it does let them know where they stand and where you stand, and that you will not tolerate their behavior. As a kid, I had a piece of leather put to my hide, and did I deserve it, yes. Now a days many kids do not want to accept responsibliity for their actions and always try to turn things around and not make it their fault. Most people understand that a 3 year old sometimes loose it. But the parents had plenty of time to get the situation under control. The plane sat at the gate and extra 15 minutes allowing the parents to deal with their 3 year old. How long is long enough. time was up. The family got a refund and 3 round trip tickets. ATA dealt with that situation perfectly and generously. There were a lot of other people on that plane who were very patient. Time was up and the plane had to go.
Yes, especially if the parents can't control them. They need to take responisbility for the way they raised their kid.
I know where you're coming from! I tend to think that if the govt' is so good at raising kids,maybe we should all give our kids to them!
I think Americans should deal with each situation appropriotley.The government is making to many laws while the tax paying citizens are to busy trying to raise families.
Not sure exactly what you are refering to as this relates to immigration but I will say, that parents are apparently in a huge dilemma in this country (USA) because the law really limits what you can do to control your children, certainly in public.
The outcome is children that misbehave radically and cause huge problems for the rest of us. Well, maybe no huge but ...?
I chose not to have children because I saw this and other misfortunes coming in this regard a long, long time ago. I was so accurate that I have scared myself. I'm afraid to go against my own best judgement. It's bee correct too often!
Children need to behave and the parents need to control them or try to. Anything less should be against the law. The child and the parent should be exited from aircraft or whatever. Sometimes the only thing kids understand is a guy/gal in a cop uniform comin over and telling them to stop their crazyness. Sad but true. Not want to get into name calling but this seems to be a problem sponsored by our LIberal type folks. Along with Illegal Immigration. I constantly have to ask myself how these people deal with their own stuff. Sheeeeesh!
...There is a huge difference in disciplining a child and causing them bodily harm. I personally don't feel corporal punishment is ever needed if you have had rules and limits from a very early age.Lack of parenting skills is the parents fault and not the child's.No I do not think any person has the right to cause others peaceful existence to be compromised.
If a parent can not control their child on a flight,a bus,a restaurant,a theater or any public place I agree remove parent and child.
I taught my child manners, decorum and respect for others
at home as well as in public.All parents should do that too,then this question wouldn't have been asked.
