If Americans support the Jews' "Right of Return" to Israel, then doesn't that mean the same for Mexicans?
Mexicans lost the Southwest from America (150 years ago).
The USA supports the "Right of Return" for Jews, even after 2,000 years.
The USA also gives Israel over $3 billion of annual financial support.
IF LOGIC PREVAILS, then that means Mexicans, too, have the "Right of Return" to the Southwest.
If Mexicans don't have that right,
then doesn't that mean Jews must also be called "illegals" in Israel?
If 2,000 years (for Jews) is the "statute of limitations",
then 150 years (Mexicans) ago is within that statute for a logical application of morality, right?
Answer:
They already have that right. They have taken back Texas, Arizona,New Mexico and California! They are starting to take back all of the United States unless we stop illegal immigration.
Yes. The mexicans can go to Israel if they want to.
Is the Roman Empire still around?! Didn't think so. That might have something to do with the Jews "Right to Return" to Israel. Now for the Mexicans. Is the United States still a country? Yep, it is. Also, the United States doesn't HAVE to do anything, we choose to support some things, while not others.
Hopefully I didn't sound to mean, but you need to understand that the Roman Empire fell a long time ago and they no longer have laws over their land. The U.S. is still here and can choose what to support and what not to.
"The right of return" only exists because that is the law of the State of Israel.
It has nothing to do with some moral right.
America as a sovereign nation also has the right to allow who they want in.
stop trying to twist this into a argument of moral relativism. It is what it is because those with the power chose it to be that way, and if you have a problem with it be proactive and try to change it.
"We have not taught our young people how to explain the Law of Return, one of the great human rights documents of the twentieth century. They think its an exclusionary, apartheid-type of legislation when in fact it is the ultimate affirmative action to the world's failure to open its doors to the Jews."
- Alan M. Dershowitz
No they don't, because they're not God's chosen people.
Look, in politics decisions are not taken according to principle, as politicians pretend. All is based on power. So if Mexicans get to have an economic and military power like that of the Jews, they might get back the southwest and then politicians will justify this using your thesis(that this land belonged to them in the first place).
Plus the multiculturalism in America which is on the rise, will further keep making lobbies the main political actors and Congress and the White House implementing their will, acting as mere receptors of orders and then executing them. That's what multiculturalism will do. So, Mexicans, if they ever become strong as an ethnic group, will likely challenge many US policies. But until then, they won't and cannot expand their land, because they currently do not have the power to do so.
