What is the meaning of naturalization?
i heard that if we live in USA for 30 months in 5 yrs legally..We could become naturalization,,,but now what does naturalization mean and do we need to immigrant visa for staying there or even nonimnigrant could work..because its said that we could travel out of country also, but it just that in 5 yrs we have to physically stay in USA for 30 months..
so if non-immigrant could also apply for that,,,what are the process for it...
Answer:
Naturalization is when an immigrant becomes a citizen. There are two ways to be a US citizen: being born here and through naturalization. You have to be a lawful permanent resident to apply for naturalization so you can't do it with a non-immigrant visa.
Even if you were living here for 5 years, you still wouldn't have the right type of visa to apply for naturalization.
Naturalization is the process you go through to become a US Citizen. Only permanent resident green card holders may undergo this process, not non-residents or non-immigrants.
