It is unbelievable,but I'm really not surprised. Crimes are forgiven or overlooked,that indeed is amnesty. There sure didn't take the safety of American citizens into consideration. And just how will they check for all these felonies in 24 hrs?

I AM surprised however that these liberal freaks aren't going to Mexico and picking up anyone off the streets who would like to come here. That way they wouldn't have to take the risk of being harmed on the way here illegally.
So this tells us, that even those who have knowingly used a fake or stolen ID and SS cards are ok. So if they are ok doing that, isn't that called amnesty. Oh my my, what the nuts will do for votes. No amnesty, No reform.
As I watch c-span I can not believe that our leaders are champions the rights of the very illegals that are breaking our laws, then calling people like you and me know nothing.

Yes. It's nice to know an arsonist illegal alien from Poland and a drug dealer illegal alien from Ecuador are welcome and entitled to amnesty just like the rest of them.

This also includes illegals who have committed ID theft and has ruined the credit of American citizens. OH MY GOSH why would they not leave this in?? I was going to ask the same question, but I decided to check if you would. It really gotten me mad that the Senate has gone so far. I did not like giving them amnesty, but I was willing to compromise, because I know the sooner we resolve the issue, the less suffering there would be. THis actually kills the deal for me. Its bad enough we are going to forgive them for violating one law, but now their proposing to forgive some for Serious crimes too. We had no obligation to let them in the first place. The point of legalising them so we can screen them to get rid the undesirables and retain those who might contribute. I keep hearing that all the illegals are honest people who want to work hard. Well, why are we not getting rid of the ones who aren't honest. I was willing to accept this bill because I do agree that it might help make a statement on what kind of nation we are, by showing some compassion, but this bill is making another statement, that we tolerate crime as well. I keep telling the pro side, that if we give illegal immigrants amnesty, it would be a slippery slope, and we would start tolerating other types of crimes. I didn't imagine having felonies would be written down on paper as being forgivable. The thing that worries me, is how narrow these things are passing in the senate. I believe someone bribed these senators with pork to get them on board.
