people who are legally resident in the USA will certainly feel resentful of illegal aliens who are competing for the same work, and are throwing suspicion and resentment on ALL immigrants...many people are being quite racist about it, demanding that ALL Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Chinese etc., etc., should be 'returned' to their homeland.
People who have followed the USA tradition of immigration and used the legal and proper methods for entry to the USA have a right to feel aggrieved that there are people who have 'just slipped through the net'.
Certainly, if any illegal alien is discovered and demands, or asks, for welfare help it should be refused. Or, at least, they should be fed only while they are waiting to go back to their own country.
Welfare payments to illegal immigrants costs a number of governments around the world (including the U.K., USA, and many European countries) a great deal of money each year. Money that could be better spent on services for legal citizens.
It isn't just Mexico, though because of the long border, that is certainly an attraction to the proposed illegal...ALL immigration should be controlled and only legally documented and qualified people allowed in. That way there is no resentment, no illegal hiring at very low wages and the whole country will run more effectively without the constant 'war' on illegals.
When they are caught they should be returned to their own country, and kept in secure conditions until that ejection can take place.

Many legal immigrants I speak to feel that illegals need to go home, or risk being punished.
From what I have read they are sick of them and want them to be deported. Many of the legal immigrants worked hard to get where they are and don't like people who cut into lines like the illegals are doing.
they should close the border up so illegal aleins dont come in and ruin our country. Hope this helped. :)
The legal immigrants feel it is a slap in the face. They obeyed the laws,worked hard and waited. All the illegals should be deported and the paper that the amnesty joke is written on should be passed around for use as toilet paper.
