One of the effects this amnesty bill is going to do, guarantee a steady supply of cheap labor. When the 12-20 million illegals get amnesty they will move into more jobs that Americans are doing, for lower wages, then the new set of illegals will move into jobs that the former illegals were doing.
This is like a pyramid system with a steady flow of illegals to always provide cheap labor. This did not work in 1986 and will not work in 2007

You should ask people who are against illegal aliens why they don't push for greater enforcement of labor laws and punishment for employers who violate them.
You will never know WHY until you put yourself in less fortunates' shoes.

You should take your questions and complaints to the President and Congress. Therein lie the problems. The government is not securing our borders. Congress is not holding the Administration accountable. Our elected officials must be listening to the campaign contributors and not to us constituents.
You are quite off base with your assessment. There are jobs because American workers will not do the work, many of which are manual labor. When American workers are willing to do the job, the pay required surpasses the worker's skill set.
In addition, the reputation of the immigrant worker procedes itself. Most immigrant workers are VERY hard working and will conform to what the company needs them to be. American workers just do not do this.

i agree with you on most of your points! its is sad that americans are screwing over their OWN country! they should get fined, i think they made this problem worse-by making these jobs available to these people! shame on you! they are many jobs now a day that pay under the table to cizitens example my last job and i reported them! one of my ex's works for walmart (in charge of building them) and he told me that they paid all of them under the table and all of them were illegal. they would rent out a motel and house them and their families too! BOO!
You sure have a negative way at looking at it.First of all, everyone has the right to look for a better life! If you were in an economic crisis and knowing that your country wouldn't be able to help you in your time of need would you not move? If you have a family to feed, a family that depends on you would you just stay in that same country and let them all starve? It's not the aliens believe that their above the law it's that they have no choice but to risk it, please understand them. They look for any job, no matter the pay nor the hard labor, all they want is the survival of their beloved family. I'm pretty sure you would do the same thing.
Exactly! I know of an employer who hires illegal immigrants. They don't know English, they throw their beer cans and bottles around everywhere. They stink to high heaven. One illegal that I know of because he happened to marry a past co-worker (for immigration status only) has been deported 3 different times and he still manages to come back to the U.S. He don't pay for his children, but he sure has enough money for a case of Tecate beer.
This is why i was mad when they tought you republican gorillas how to use the computers. I cussed out my history teacher today for saying the same thing. All these people are trying to do is make a living. Worry about something else, like getting our boys out of Iraq.

Employers that hire them don't have to pay into workmens comp for them either. Or disability. These people that hire them should be shot for treason.
Also if the ones here were to become citizens then all this talk about cheap labor goes out the window because it won't be cheap any more. These law breaking companies would then have to pay more money for the new citizens to work. Will they do it? No. They will simply hire more illegals from the new batch that will poor in.
Talk to an attorney about bringing a RICO suit against your employer if they use illegals for lost wages times three times four years of damages plus court costs and attorney fees... it's the law.
