Can my grandmother in the USA who has her citezenship file for me.?
Answer:
Go search the internet for the Form I-130 [Petition for Alien Relative]
Grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws and cousins cannot sponsor a relative for immigration.
Dont bother with the US its a rubbish life.
Depends on your age and whether or not she has collateral (money/property)
You have a reallly high chance if you're under 18 and your parents are dead (if you aren't.. and you're in a corrupt global south/3rd world country, you can bribe officials for a new birth certificate which makes you 15 (since it may take at the most 3 years for her to get it all done) and death certificates for your parents, people have done it before; its illigal; but who cares; no one wants to be in american unless they're desperate; this place isn't as great as its cracked up to be)
If that's done; you have a 100% chance that you'll get in even if your grandmother doesnt have collateral, or only has 20,000$ collateral,
You will be able to obtain a green card like that -- then you can apply for citizen ship--- which is like a walk in the park... only easier.
------------------------------...
If you're country isn't a corrupt global south/3rd world country; just apply for a visa yourself; come to america; and when you get here keep renewing your visa for 5 years; then you'll be able to apply yourself.
OR
Apply for the Lottery / u might get lucky
OR
Apply for an Alien/Green card from your home country (again if you're country isn't a 3rd world country)and you may get in.
Possibly.
Is she your guardian? Are you under 21 years?
The length of time for waiting is contingent upon what country you are immigrating from, as well.
You need to have your grandmother file an I-130, along with several other documents. Please see the link below. Please note: I cannot vouch for the services, but there is some valuable free info on the site.
To obtain derivative citizenship:
Did either of your parents obtain derivative citizenship from your grandparents? How long has your grandmother and parents resided in the US? Are either of your parents able to obtain derivative citizenship?
I need more facts...
Good luck.
