I had been staying USA for the last 5 years as a student and I have maintained my status.I am from Bangladesh .I came to Canada as a visitor to see my uncle last month.But I want to go back to USA in September to start Fall semester.But I have some problems.My visa is expired and I don't have the I-94 , I do have the photocopy of I-94 . I have to apply for visa , I guess .But my question : is there any chance to deny my visa since I don't have the I-94 with me .Also, I am trying to apply visa from Canada , not from my home country .Because it is hard to get visa from there and also , my country is now under national political emergency thing.What should I do , should I go back home and apply from there or should I do it from Canada ? I will appreciate ur input .Thanks again .
Answer:
make sure you have your I-20 and other required proper documents from your College or University. Try to renew your visa from Canada. Ask U.S Embassies in Canada if they renew student Visas there.

You don't need to go to your home country to apply for a Visa, as long as you bring all your papers to a US Embassy or Consulate anywhere. They will not ask you for a I-94 form, since you're out of the USA. (You had to surrender it when you left the US).
