You have the right idea and I agree with most of what you say. I too agree with one individual about closing our borders period for a while and allowing no immigration. If you want to visit, fine but then go back home.
The part I don't agree with is having our "national languages" be any of the Native American language. As a Native American, I don't want to see tribal languages spoken by every Tom, Dick, and Harry. These are a part of our culture and we want them left as they are. Besides, Many of our young ones have never even taken the time to learn the language of our fathers. One other reason for this is that this would cause division in the country to worsen. In the south west you would have Apache, Navajo, Hopi, Yuma, Pima, and a few other dialects. The northwest would have predominately Blackfoot and Crow. I could go on but, to do this we would become divided by the language we spoke and would not be America Where English is spoken here.
I concur. But illegals are not wanted in this nation even if they are as sweet as pie, they'd still be illegal.

I'm also tired of going into a public rest room and learning that they don't know how to flush toilet paper.
Our society doesn't accept 8 families living under a single family roof either.
And when they hit a parked car across from that house we expect them to tell us.
It seems so, yes, but I believe there is a much bigger issue at hand than a growing population of spanish speakers who don't know American history - it is a growing number of spanish speakers who aren't registered to pay taxes, therefore forcing the American Citizens to pay for them.
Yes, Americans are angry that most immigrants are ignorant, but beyond that, each American must pay every year to let these people come, because they never pay the taxes for the work they do here.

I am beginning to believe that all immigration should be discontinued until the "war on terror" is over judging from what happened in London and Glasgow. These people who perpetrated this scheme were immigrant doctors. That sounds completely unAmerican, but I can't help but think we can't have open immigration and a "war on terror" at the same time. All of these terrorists on 911 and in London were legal immigrants.

Yea I agree. But as someone that was brought here as a kid by his parents legally and overstayed their visa, we have made every effort to assimilate. Coming here legally is almost impossible nowadays.
No. American people are not mad because we think that illegals do not know our language, there is only one, not plural American languages only; English, but Americans are already supporting fifth and sixth generation low payed/welfare families. The people paying for welfare are the middle class working people, not the rich ones with all the tax breaks. Illegals if made legal will terminate our Social Security retirement that has been payed into by a whole generation of working baby boomers that it does not know how to pay back. p.s. the crime rate is extremely high with illegals, that does not help their situation.
Yes . I worked in Kmart 6 yrs ago and a lady asked a girl in spanish a question (both are of mexican descent) . The girl looked at her and said " I don't understand spanish nor do I speak it " . The woman got mad and walked off . 5 minutes later I saw the same woman talking to a friend in perfect English . What the heck is the deal with her ? If my kids don't learn spanish now they don't graduate . When does it stop . When do we say enough is enough and you need to go home and leave us alone to live our lives with out learning your language .
I agree with you. I would like to tell Metro 900 not to be so down on things. I really do feel that he has an unusual case and that a lawyer should be able to help him.It is very sad to me,you are a smart young man.I wish him luck.
The people that really has the chance to go to school and learn your history, culture and etc, is a very low percent, why? cause they only have time to go to work for the pittiful minimum wage, spend time with their children (yes, because that is very important to the hispanic population), so inmigrants don't have to much time to waste in this country, I'm using the word waste, because even when you learn the language, when you trying to be somebody, when you finanally and tirely you reach the so call "american dream" you are still treated like a piece of you know what?, and think about it when you still go somewhere anybody can tell that you are an inmigrant, hey and nowdays they been chasing us like dogs, and deporting us, without no opportunity, to pick the efforts, the money, the clothes, the pets, that we have adquired in here, we have to go, and what is worst after the goverment has force the inmigrants to get a tax id, pay taxes and not even get a thanks in return, don't you call that like milking you out? or what? I'm still illegal and lucky me I didn't came over here swimming, I took a plane 26 years ago, I really love New York, cause my only child was born here, but before I came here, I speak english, french, and plus I am a spanish teacher, so the so proud call US CITIZENS, really doesn't have to feel like that, inmigrants are only made by all the politicians games and rules that they been playing through the years, now when it comes to you US CITIZENS, you don't feel no remorse or soever everytime you invade people's territories, or just do your way or your way, and by the way just count how many illegals inmigrants had done such things, as the Columbine, the Oklahoma bombing, the Waco texas, the World Trade Center and many many more things that had happened here.
