My f1 visa became out of status recently. I couldn't maintain a full term enrollment in a university ( I got 2 WU grades ) therefore I broke the immigration rules. I wanted to apply for F1 reinstatement but some say that the chances are very slim to get it approved since the fault was no one but my own. Is it better or is it possible if i leave the U.S back to my home country and apply for a new f1 visa from the same school? Can I apply a new f1 visa out of the country or is it sill be considered as f1 reinstatement since i already had an f1 visa before? I wanted to know if i leave the country that my f1 records will be terminated and i can start new.
Answer:
It is better indeed to do it from your home country. The US immigration will not reinstate a visa that got cancelled because of you...
Good luck!
