Were most politicians in office lawyers before they got into office?
Answer:
Yes. I wonder if the ethical rules stop applying when they stop practicing law?
LOL... good one!
yea, either lawyers or actors. go figure!
Yes because lawyers study the laws that are the fabric of society. They are the most aware of legal ramifications of social dynamics. Although the word "politician" has been attached to a negative stigma, it is not a correlation to lawyers in general and that stigma should not extend to them. George W. Bush was never a lawyer, but he is a dirty politician. One of, if not the worst. He also doesn't seem to know what he is doing either. Catch my drift?
Unfortunately, yes. There is a social elite in this country, and the more we vote lawyers into power the more control we lose. I personally believe in the saying " Lets kill all the lawyers".
Oh, Lisa- since when have Mercedes drivin', $3000 suit wearin', ambulance chasing lawyers ever cared about the "social ramifications" of a law? Look at the case of a JUDGE(and lawyer) suing a dry cleaner for $52 million for a pair of pants !!
Whenever a lawyer gets into a field they take over. They use the law and their argumentativeness to get their way. It's ridiculous. I'm sure there's a few good ones. Geez. I could be saying this about all kinds of people, couldn't I?
Yeah. But I think the next person in power will be an Army General. His first action will be to disolve the senate until a competent group of people can be voted in. Hope they are quick and clean about it.
