Does the most recent Senate bill have CHAIN MIGRATION?
I am angry with this bill, but most prominently, does it contain chain migration? That would literally mean 30mil more people in the next 10yrs. We might see America virtually vanish over the next decade. Is there chain migration hidden in this bill?
Answer:
Yes, but they are hiding it. They are saying they are changing to a point system. but you get points for having family here. And Reid etc want to give even more points for that so it essentially does away with a merit system.
I think it should be a point system except for spouse and minor children. It is the IMMIGRANT 'tearing families apart' by coming, not us. We need to be able to choose who comes.
THEN I think we need to cancel the going forward guest worker program and while we can increase H1Bs to 100,000, we have to do away with the idea that if you get a masters from some back of matchbook advertised college, there is no limit on them.
And reneging on half of the fence already signed into law is NOT border security...
I don't even know where to start on this one.
Its an invitation to rape and pillage America.
yes, from what I can tell they are increasing the numbers to allow most of the illegals to bring over their entire families, then they cut if down. Even if they didn't you know they are packing their bags as we post
From the DHS fact sheet. Some key points on Chain Migration contained in the Immigration Reform Act 2007
Ending Chain Migration:
The immigration system would be reformed to better balance the importance of family connections with the economic needs of our country by replacing the current system, where nearly two-thirds of green cards are awarded to relatives of U.S. citizens, with a system in which future family immigration will focus on the nuclear family and parents.
Ending Chain Migration In Place Of The Current System Where Nearly Two-Thirds Of Green Cards Are Awarded To Relatives Of U.S. Citizens, Our Immigration System Will Be Reformed To Better Balance The Importance Of Family Connections With The Economic Needs Of Our Country.
Visas for parents of U.S. citizens are capped, while green cards for the siblings and adult children of U.S. citizens and green card holders are eliminated.
A new Parents Visitor visa is created to ensure that parents are allowed to visit their children in the United States regularly and for extended periods of time.
The Diversity Lottery Program, which grants 50,000 green cards per year through random chance, is ended.
These rebalanced green cards are used to clear the Family Backlog in eight years and then applied to the new Merit System for future immigration once the backlog is cleared.
