I need advice please about my sister's visitor visa?
I live in the usa for 7 years, I want to have my sister to come visit me this summer, since she's out of school, but her visa got rejected, because she's young and has no ties to the country where she from.
My question is, why they have to be hard on people who just want to come to see thier nephews and came back to thier country, what can I do to help her reapply for the Visa again, my two sons' birthday is in August and I'd love to have her here because I can't afford to go visit her. please help me
Answer:
Immigration is Immigration.
They did not just choose nice people, they have power to reject anyone's application for no reason.
the Visitors Visa approval depends on a number of things.
her status in the country, money to travel here, if they suspect her staying longer than 6 months, if she has school at the moment, if you are able to support her with your expenses during her visit, etc. Mainly, they look into her case not yours, and they can reject at any moment as they wish. you will need to try again, make sure you do it the complete proper way, even letter's of Invitation to the Immigration that you will be supporting here, and prepare and organize all her applications for the visitors visa.
you can research about these things on yahoo. just ask a questions on yahoo like, how to apply for a visitors visa in Mexico for example. answers should come up.
Good Luck & Have Hope ! You are not alone.
You dont need a visa to come here for less than two weeks. If the person is just visiting, they are allowed to come here. They just are not allowed to be hired.
Because People have abused the system is why this is happening.too many people have over-stayed and become leeches onto the American system and it's citizens...you can re-apply or appeal.but it is probably too late and nothing will have changed in her ties to her home country.
