Amen, brother. Its going to be a sad day here in America if our crooked politicians push this new bill through and its looking bad. You know and I know its a joke, these people aren't going to pay a dime and our government will do nothing about it. If they are claiming its impossible to deport millions then how in god's name are they going to find them all and collect all this money they will have to pay. The only people that will pay are the US tax payers.
They just had on the O'Reilly show tonight a segment on each illegal will cost each American tax payer $19,000. Told how that's all being kept out of the news, so we would not know it. The sad thing here is, even if these people pay taxes, they get it all back at the end of the year.plus a few thousand in government subsidies because they have children and only make enough money that they qualify for all this. So who picks up the slack, you and me.
If that was the case, the American Indians should have treated the original 13 colony settlers as illegal immigrants and deported them. The immigration law is fine, it's the American laws that make foreign investing difficult that is the problem.

Wow, you seem to have it all figured out there Slim. Too bad those politicians stand to gain absolutely nothing by granting amnesty on a strictly humanitarian basis. Do you honestly think they would ruin they're reputations with most hard working americans if it weren't necessary? Don't you think they've looked at the numbers that you haven't, and come to the conclusion that illegal-super-cheap labor is what keeps our standards where they are? This is a bum deal any way you look at it. Give them amnesty all at once and they cost too much, don't give it to them at all and they'll keep just showing up at the emergency room whenever they need medical treatment and not paying taxes.
Something has to be done, and judging by your question, you'd love to keep paying the prices of american produce afforded by their slave wage but not have them here. How do you propose that happen? Show me an american who would pick tomatoes for 3 cents a pound. Show me an american who would stand out in a field all day picking spinatch for $15 a day... you can't.
I can just see you in the future when only the skilled labor is allowed in from other countries. Then you'll be crying because you're underqualified and the foreigners with better degrees are taking your job. Oh you'll wish they were mexicans then.

Thinking twice, you know that it's not immigration (the agency) fault what's going on.
It is the Department of Labor and the Social Security Administration by not imposing the laws of the nation on the companies that hire and harbor such individuals.

We have friends from China, Africa, and South America who waited to obtain citizenship. We joked with them that they could have sneaked across the Mexican/US border instead.
