Since the Nov. 7 2006 elections are over now, did the canadians help?

President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. Soooo, maybe the Canadians did have a hand in it to some point.
I really don't see the president 'wanting' democrats taking the majority..but would this help his agenda?
I understand why Mexico is behind this but just what does Canada get? They have always struck me as more independent than to allow this. I've not researched this a lot...been busy on other issues...just too much going on to cover everything adequately.
How could Canadians help. When have Americans ever listened to Canadians. Except for George W. Bush who used a Canadian as his speech writer.
