How many times over the course of history have people revolted and overthrew their government?
Answer:
Lots. And today proved that we need to "restructure" our government. We are no longer represented. The spectre of "revolution" might seem a bit rough a term. Too bad we don't have a clause where a "vote of no confidence" would oust Senators and such. They are not doing what they are supposed to do. They have to go. Can't a judge step in and declare this "unconstitutional"? My local gun shop has been literally OUT of certain types of ammunition for a week now. They are also out of Army Publication TM 31-210. (You don't even want to know what THAT is!) If we have a genuine revolution, our peacekeeping efforts in a dozen countries will go unattended. Our credability and the world's monetary base will suffer. This hopefully will be done suddenly with as little "fuss" as possible. Funny how the military is "overseas" when we need them here right now to "step in" and "remind" the Senate who they are supposed to be taking their orders from. But rememeber, ALL AMERICANS are the Army, too. I hope it doesn't come to that. Sales at the local gun store seem to point that way though.
In 1776 against the British government in America.
Innumerable times
Numerous and Bush and the Senate seems to be provoking a civil uprising here.
Our nation's forefathers would be appalled by the vote today.
They fought and won against tyranny.
I believe we may have to fight against corruption and a desire to destroy our sovereignty within our own government.
1688 (England), 1789 (France), 1917 (Russia), 1927 (China), are the 4 big ones.
Here are the rest from recorded history:

I think this country is ripe for another myself.
Numerous times BUT Bush beat us this time if Scamnesty is passed and we want to riot and/or revolt.

and a few others since about 1800. revolutions always bring a new form of goverment, usually dictatorships, but sometimes not. Only theAmerican revolution, turned the goverment over to the people to vote the people in or out of office. So if your looking to thik it would be good in the USA, it's pointless. you got thre powrwer on election day, to clean the slate, and you need not get upset becasue you can't find a majority who thinks like you, that is not why revolutions happen, read somemore histories, and you will see who suffers the most in one, notthe goverment, but he people, the goverment is gone, but the people end up going throug hdecades of economic hardships, trying to recover from the mass upheaveal. the Soviets never did recover, and where far worse on there people than the previous goverment. France, was no longer a world power, it lost every war after Napoleon was exiled in the early 1800s, and continues to slide down the ladder of influencial nations. South and Central American nations have been almost comical in having revolts, along with Mexico, in that every few years there where violent revolutions, and thse have kept those at war with themselves in near third world status. Hot heads do not a successful revolution make, and beware of the promises of an elite so called educated few, who have plans for a utopi of thoughts (as the Russians, Chinese or cuba about this one). most end up with less than they had jprevious (case in point the last three mentioned). the US historically is the only nation in modern times (after 1600) to progress in all area, as a reslut of a revolution. It' all in the history books, look ,learn and understand, before you start rape, piliging and burning in your mind or in reality. the US had theres, because they had no legal represnatives to speak for them in court, about the taxing of there goods. not because of a hate for the goverment. they wanted a say in matters affedting them. the US had a revolution from the king of England, because they had no legal represnatives to speak for them in court, about the taxing of there goods , or any other matters. we do now, it's called freedom of speech and the right to vote! and a right to bring forth grievences to goverment recognized judicial system. and all three work, if people choose to use them.
I am sure that it is hundreds of times. With a little luck we will be adding another slash mark in that category as we procede to throw out the trash currently in office.
Every time they don't feel represented.
