Applicant for a Green Card has a record of DUI?
Answer:
yes, 10 year ban .........oh_hell
probably....
NAW there might be a demand for drunks on the day your friend applies
It depends upon the rest of his record. If there are no other arrests/convictions, the one DUI would probably not disqualify him from obtaining a "green card," or obtain lawful permanent residence status.
There are a few ways of obtaining LPR status:
Through a family member;
Through a business sponser;
By a finding of asylum;
Being a national of a specific country, i.e. Cuba;
Being a fiance of a citizen...

Good luck.
One won't. Three might get him deported.
not really they may fine him thought. Has he talk to a immgration attorny or is there a local catholic charties in your area they should be able to help him
It won't affect as DUI is not a CIMT. Lot of people with H1B went out of country for stamping...got married and brought their spouses also to USA. It will also not matter with citizenship. Good luck.
Yes all those laws have been changed now ,you must wait 7 years-and file a 214-e and letter of transport
