I have warrants for my arrest, Will I be able to enter the U.S. again?

I was arrested for a DUI (stupid, I know) two years ago. I had lived in PA since I was 2 on a green card. I never went to trial, I came back to live in Ireland (where I'm from) instead. I've been here a year so my green card is no longer valid. Will I ever be able to return either as a visitor or will I ever be able to get a green card again? I was thinkint maybe I could call the court and pay the fine from Ireland beforehand (they already have my license).

Answer:
First of all just because your "green card" resident alien card is expired does not mean that your status as legal resident is expired. If you have not abandon your status as legal resident you are still a legal resident. If you are returning to the U.S. to continue living in the U.S. you will be OK in the Immigration side.

Now, about your warrant for arrest, what you can do is call the agency that arrested you and inquiry if you still have an active warrant. If you do, tell them that you are out of the country, but that you are coming back and will like to pay your fine. When you come into the U.S. you will be arrested if the warrant states that it will extradite to PA. What this means is that the police from PA will pay or will go and pick you up where ever you are. Some warrant only state that they will extradite to adjacent states. So it all depends where you come into the U.S. If I was in your shoes I would hire a lawyer and let him take care of that. But, maybe you can make arrangements to pay from Ireland.

Good luck and do not drink and drive
If there is a warrant, there is a possibilty they can arrest you upon entering. I would call the courts before hand.
I doubt it, but who knows, it's not as if you killed someone.

You should contact an immigration attorney.
Go back to Ireland. We want people who OBEY our laws. Why is it that so many aliens come here and not want to follow our rules? It seems no matter where they come from they want to do that.
I don't know for sure, but thanks so much for wanting to make the situation right. At least pay the fines, and go from there. If you pay any and all outstanding amounts, you may be able to return?
Probably not, but who nows for sure. Once the new world order goes into effect you might not be able to cross the street.Legislation has been passed that in 2008, everyone in the USA will need to get a National ID Card which will basically be your electronic identity, futher getting rid of your privacy. Some states are even requiring citizens to get RFID Chips implanted, they're already being tested in the USA with volunteer families...you probably haven't heard about this have you? Think we're safe in Canada? Ontario is passing legislature to have a Provincial ID Card that does the same thing, and other provinces will follow if we don't do anything.
Henry VIII :what are you talking about , he is not an illegal alien he came to America legally with a green card now I tough that i read before where you all say welcome LEGAL IMMIGRANTS
a DWI offense happens to everyone regardless of your status what if a White man gets a DWI what then ,is it OK cause he is American and he is entitled. please brother . please.
If the warrant was issued in order to get you to pay a fine, then contact the court, pay the fine and try and clear the warrant. If there were other terms besides just the fine (such as community service or jail time), and you can't clear the warrant from abroad, you may have difficulties getting a green card. If you can clear the warrant, you might try and apply for a green card again and see what happens. If you run into problems, hire a U.S. immigration attorney to try and help you out.

Oh, and when you do get here, don't drink and drive anymore please.
I don't think you will be allowed in now, they are more strict now, than before.

My in law is a Spanish citizen, before all she had to show was here passport to enter, now they do a background search before allowing you in...Best of luck
A DUI isn't a felony.A first offense that is.So yes you can re-apply for a visa maybe not a green card but a visa and you should be allowed to return at some point.
