Presumably you should rephrase to something like "the relaxation of existing immigration laws". I don't think you want to go round supporting illegality per se.

You'd better stay away from logic, facts, or statistics and focus on the emotional aspect. Like find some stories of a poor family who only want to work hard so their children can afford shoes. That's how all the pro-illegal groups try to spin it and it seems to work on uneducated people.

Most illegal immigrants come here to make a better life for themselve and family. If you go to mexico and work all day from sun up until sun down you are looking at a week pay of about 100.00 at hte most. with a pound of meat costing 10.00 and a pound of bens at 5.00 you dont have much choice than looking for other ways of making money to support you'r family. I know there is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for my child and family. I don't know who would let their child be hungry and not have clothes.

I think that you would have to refer to Mexican government policies to find any support for illegal immigration to the United States.

Most of the illegals have brown skin. That means they are some type of Indian. These people are hated in Mexico by white or fair skin Mexicans.They are hated here in the USA mostly by white Americans and even fair skin legal Mexicans. I realize not all white Americans hate them.
My only reason for supporting illegals that are here to work is because it is the humane thing to do.

Well illegal immigration is a great way to further the decline of the country's annouying grip on morality.
There is no intelligent way to argue in support of illegal immigration, it is an illegal act. You would be better off writing this paper on why the immigration laws are flawed and need to be revised.
So, let's see... You seek to promote and abate an illegal activity. In order to do that, you have to expound your disdain for American people and American Law. You should also enlist the help of people who hate America, and so try to make it explicit in the paper. You could even get financial support from Latino gangs like Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).
I don't think you are going to find many verifiable facts to support this view.There are lots of opinions and theory's but not many "facts"
Most legal Americans aren't narrow minded or prejudiced towards others.The ones that are are easily identified by their actions.I don't see how anyone could support anything that is by name and nature illegal.To not want millions of illegal aliens in ones country is not racists ,its the reality of the law and conditions that this illegal act brings to the legal Americans of all colors,races heritages etc.

Why dont you ask illegal immigrants as to why they are so afraid to stand up for themselves in their own country, and why they feel alright to stand up for themselves in a country that they do not belong to? That would make a better paper.

I lived in California for 20 years, and I can tell you that the economy there, especially agriculture, is dependent on illegal aliens. The next time you buy California strawberries for dirt cheap, realize they were most likely harvested by illegals. One year when it was time for the walnut harvest in Lake County California, INS had just swept through and rounded up all the illegals they could find. This meant that no one was around to collect the walnuts, so much of that year's crop was lost. None of the local population, except for a few people living on the reservation, wanted to do that kind of work at the pay that was offered. In other words, in California at least, illegals do the work that none of the 'white folks' (to oversimplify things) want to do. This impacts not only the local farmers who rely on immigrants, legal or illegal, but also the consumer who ends up paying a much higher price for their produce at the grocer.
I'm a little disappointed in the person who brought up Mara Salvatrucha. They have nothing to do with migrant farmwork. That particular gang is comprised almost exclusively of the El Salvadoreans who were kidnapped as children and trained in guerilla warfare during Reagan's 'secret wars' back in the '80's. If you ever need an SAR-15, they're the people to ask. They are scary people, but farmworkers, landscapers and dishwashers they are not. Also, most of the members of Mara Salvatrucha are legal, having been granted political asylum long ago.

I have no problem with immigrant comming to this county to become citizens. That means they are willing to give somthing back to this country. This country is made of of immigrants except for the early arerican indians. I have a problem with the illegals coming here taking what they can get and going back home. You are at a disadvantage to start with. Your stance about prejudice being a factor is flawed. People that opposed to illegal immigration has nothing to do with "prejudice" or "race". Illegal aliens from many countries are here. An illegal alien is not a race. If you try to make it a racial issue you are going to get slam dunked in your "debate".
