Move to Australia?
Answer:
It is pretty difficult to make the move to Australia but the Austarlian Embassy publishes a list of "skilled" workers that it has shortages of. These can cover the whole range of known employment. Three years ago when I was thinking of moving there I believe that hair stylists were on the list - I am not kidding.
Check that list out first because it probably isn't worth the effort if your profession is not on it. They operate on a points system and unless you have a skill that is in demand you will never get enough points.
Marriage isn't really an option as there is a lot more to it than just marrying an Aussie and moving over there. I thought becasue my husband and kids are British citizens it would be a little easier for me to go, but even that didn't earn me enough points to go.
I don't know if investment is an option any longer, but back when I was considering going, there was an option to invest in some government scheme to the tune of about $90,000.
Like I said, getting into Australia is not easy - but the first step is checking out the embassy's website
The Australian Embassy !
You couldn't have picked a worse country in the free world to want to move to. Typically you need to be a skilled worker, a family member of an Australian Citizen or a Refugee of some type. Australia is very picky about letting people move to their country. So unless you have family their, plan to marry a citizen of Australia or have a highly needed skill that is of use in Australia you'll have a VERY difficult time ever being able to move there.
