I guess I know why McVeigh did what he did. I'm not agreeing with what he did, but I clearly understand his frustration at the U.S. government. I only hope that others don't resort to that kind of hopelessness.

Cloture didn't pass, completely, it wasjust a motion to open debate. A number of Senators who voted against cloture before are only voting for the debate in order to get their amendments tried. If the amendments win (like increasing chain migration) other supporters may fall away. If they don't win, these people have indicated by their prior votes that they may vote against cloture again, when it comes up, on Thursday.
I think in this case the immigration bill will supply a ton of unskilled workers. Having said that it still remains that certain industries will pick them up in Lu of American workers because they will be cheaper and they can drive truck or hit a nail or use a nail gun. There was a time in America where most jobs were respected regardless of the skill level. Now there is little respect for the worker, your neighbor or the general health of the work force. The global work force is now moving to America and there is little that can be done. The new underclass will be the white kids without an education. These are the kids that are fighting for Bush right now! Our inner cities are a war zone onto themselves. Corporations have no patriotism! Money is the incentive regardless of the morals!
