I have enough money and I could have used my free time for other things but I like doing these things sometimes,and they are really not that stressfull and I love the kids, so Im probably not lazy,,but I am racist,,,I am told,,becuase Maria and Jose offered me help and I refused with a polite smile

I don't think it is racist at all, it is just not lazy. You don't ever have to hire out if you don't want to. Now if you told them no and then hired someone of a different race then you would be but as of now, NO! :)

I frankly don't see what one has to do with the other-- if you chose NOT to hire them becuase they're illegal (only), it has nothing to do with being a racist.
btw folks-- Hispanics are not necessarily a race unto themselves so we REALLY need to quit with that. Many hispanics are Caucasian, some are mixed, some are "native".
