Lets face the fact the fines will never be imposed. The border security is the exact same claim they made when Reagan signed a similar law - won't happen. And finally, my personal favorite, is the laughable stopping of employers from hiring illegal immigrants - yeah right.

Amnesty is a pardon. Illegal aliens are being fined $5000. That is not being pardoned.
Find another word to use.
You can go to the Library of Congress and download the entire bill. That will take a while as it is 790 pages! I have read most of it, and it is just more of the same old stuff. We give something for nothing and then turn our backs on the problem.

You can call it what you want but intelligent people know its just another free ride for illegal aliens.
The fines/background checks will not happen. The system is floundering as it is now. To add more workers to it to handle the applications would cost the tax payers billions if not more.

@ josh. its miserable when many fail to even understand a quota of amnesty. and there is no way u can deport 12+ million people, one would be a buffon to believe such.
Amnesty by any other name is still amnesty.
As I have read it. We would be allowing between 12 to 20 million illegal people a pass to jump ahead of those waiting to come here legally. The Mexican government is going broke, oil drying up. They can not afford to take care of all their people so our President (who has lost his mind) wants to be the good guy here. What will happen if we have all these extra people and our economy goes down the drain.
How would we take care of these low wage earners? This is crazy!
This bill has nothing to do the what's best for the American people, if that was the case they would have secured our borders first, had a employment verification program in place.
This is all about granting amnesty, with some window dressing to try to camouflage their true aims
