Yes, you can keep your naturalized U.S. citizenship. Your citizenship only can be taken away if you renounce it at a U.S. Embassy or consulate or are a war crimes criminal (e.g. Nazi), so no worries there.
Halifax is a beautiful small city. Not as bustling as L.A. so it is a bit slow-paced. Life in Halifax is superb from what my friends have told me as their is little crime, great schools, restaurants, etc. Climate can be harsh during winter months, but otherwise it is typically the same as New England's weather throughout an average year. my husband is canadian too. unless you formaly renounce us citizenship it will be yours. i do not encourage to get cnd citizenship though. you will not have a cnd passport ever without it but you will have your us one. go to www.cic.gc.ca

taxes are much much higher as is food and most other goods. i was shocked. rent for you will be cheap compared to Los angeles but the other goods will give you heart failure. cars, heating you name it.
