Yes, I am an immigrant. I was born in Korea, but was adopted by an American family when I was 9 months old. I was granted my citizenship when I was 4 years old.
And as an immigrant, I consider it a slap in the face that anyone would attempt to come to this country in an illegal manner. While I didn't have much to do with my immigration (my parents were the ones who took care of all the paperwork and stuff), the fact is, it was still LEGAL. And now, as an American citizen, it seems like I have LESS RIGHTS than someone who BROKE AN INTERNATIONAL LAW to get here.

yes and no. i was born in the united states to u.s. citizens but i spent most of my life in japan. culture shock hit me upon my arrival to and departure from japan. when people ask me where my hometown is, i never know what to say. do they want to know where i was born? where i spent my formative years? where my parents live? i don't really consider any of these places to fully be my home and i've started to make my home where i am now.

I am 2nd & 3rd generation American. My Mother's mother was born here in 1915. She married a Canadian and my mother was born in 1948. I will be leaving ASAP. I wish you well, I am sick of the government to enforcing the immigration laws so we don't know who or what is in this country. I am also sick of not being able to find a job. I am really fed up with the whole illegal rights thing. If they want to be treated as citizens then, they should come over legal! I am sorry for ranting.
