What do you believe is the answer to ending illegal immigrant drunk driving?
The man driving to work is DEAD.
Drunk driving has always repulsed me. This really shocked me since it happened right in my home town on a road that I drive on a lot around that very same time.
This drumk wsn't even legal in any way shape or form! How can this be prevented?

put up some of those "name your state is tough on drunk driving" signs, but make sure they are written in mexican. Other than that, there is nothing that will be done.
Don't pass go! Send straight to jail . Put them in a chain gang and make them work because I don't wanna pay the 33,000 a year it costs to house them !

I heard that 1 or 2 American citizens were drink driving last year but perhaps that is just a rumour..

deport them instead of ignoring it till something tragic like this happens. if some one is here illeglly they are criminals and need to be deported. thats just the way it is
Two separate issues.
Drunk driving is dead wrong! Doesn't matter who does it.
Contact your congressman, tell him vote against immigration bill...toughen the borders not soften them for the other issue.
This happens a lot. They drink and get crazy! They (illegal Mexicans) can get a drivers license in Mexico really easy.
I think we should take over Mexico & make them live by our rules. Open the border and take over their country!

If we make Mexico America, you can control them, you can charge them taxes, then they can have American befefits. It could prove to be profitable! Just think about it!! Their country is failing! We could use the land for everyones benefit!
Well if you are watching the Immigration hearings you will see that Kennedy has not considered this a serious problem. I think the Repubs are whipping him in line.
He wants them all here and legal, felons, non-curable child molesters, etc. 'Give them another chance'. The felonous family certainly can believe in second chances. How many has he had?
Reid, Kennedy, Feinstein, McCain and Bush thought they could push this through without the electorate being aware. The American citizens are waking up and hopefully they will become a roaring giant. Our representative must stop trying to deceive us. If we work together we can take our Country back.

You take away incentive for American companies to employ illegal aliens. Right now American companies have to pay taxes on employees. They pay payroll, medicaid, medicare, and social security taxes on each employee. If they hire illegal aliens they don't pay those taxes. If they pass the Fair Tax bill(H.R25/S.1025) those companies will no longer be paying taxes on employees. This puts them on a level field with foreign companies. They will no longer have a reason to employ illegal aliens. Without one of the major reasons for them to be here, they will go home.
I have never seen a drunk Mexican driving, and I live in L.A. . The most dangerous drivers I see currently are people with cell phones. It might be the town you live in though.
legal citizens drive drunk too.. I think this is two seperate problems. One.. drinking and driving, which should be alot stricter punishment on. and two.. illegal immigrants, which i dont see an end to. But in this case, he should be punished just as a LEGAL citizen would be then when he is done serving his time, he should be deported. which wont make a difference because he will only come back.
Unfortunately it will not be prevented by the current bill being touted by Bush and Congress.
Perhaps if illegal criminals were repatriated from 10,000 feet above ground level...
I think the the law should be allowed to stop people who they think dont have a license. Then they must be arrested. Just recently a illegal immigrant while intoxicated hit a mother and her children killing the children.

How about we stop all drunk driving. Doesn't matter whose driving a person should not be drinking and driving.
If this country can't control it's own citizens who drive drunk how do you expect it to control illegal drunk drivers.
I'm only asking this question because I had a family hit by a drunk driver who was a US citizen. The driver had his license taken more than once, and had several DUI's.
And yes my family and I are US citizen's. My great-grandparents came to this country legally. Just in case your wondering.

Nothing. I'm sure the illegal alien was just looking for a better way to get to work and traffic was not nearly as heavy on that side of the road. Oh, sure he could have driven on the other side, but that would require waiting behind the other drivers that were driving legally and that would take longer.
America requires an American I.D. to purchase beer or alchohol. To sell it without this makes the store responsible for the death or injury.
