Do you think making an immigrant applicant wait 25 years is fair?

Current wait time is approxiamately 20-25 years to get processed, would you wait patiently outside the country to be with your family in America for this period of time and if you miss the random surprise interview date which comes up any time after 20-25 years be happy to start the time frame wait period all over again as required by the INS?

Answer:
NO i sure as hell wouldnt.

Thanks for pointing out a great fact.

I doubt those who are closeminded and set in their ways will realize this.
yes
AMERICA SHOULD BE FOR AMERICANS
Not its not necessarily fair but not everyone on the planet can come here. Some will need to be turned away. Those who broke the law coming here illegally should never be given citizenship.
I don't think anyone would claim that the bureaucracy created to process immigrants is efficient. That would have to be a major part of any serious reorganization of the immigration philosophy in this nation.
It isn't 20 years. I know because my wife became a citizen only after 5 years.
If your statistic is true, there is either a BIG problem with our administrators OR there are an awful lot of people wanting to come to the good old U.S.A.
I recommend other nations convert to a FREE ENTERPRISE system so their citizens can have opportunity at home.
Whatever it takes ...You know they can visit and I think that should be good enough until the process is over..They shouldn't have families over here anyway depending on the circumstance...
That's completely wrong.

The wait time for processing may be 2 years or so for most countries.

In any case, it could be 100 years and still be fair. Immigration into this country isn't a RIGHT, it's a PRIVILEGE.

I think the waiting time you have posted is incorrect
There is no right to come at all.

We have limits to protect our schools, jobs and services for our own people.

4 billion people in the world are poorer than, for example, the average worker in Mexico. There will always be many many more people who want to come than we can take, because we subsidize services like education for poor people, and they can't make enough to pay enough tax to cover the costs. That means, because the deal is great for them at our expense, the line gets very long. That is what makes it take as long as it does.

They don't have to come, but if they do, it has to be under the limits we set. WE are the ones footing the bill and paying for the schools to serve, not fail, our own children.
