Based on a one-year in-depth study, a researcher estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each.
Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta analyzed 1,500 cases from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants.
She found that while the offenders were located in 36 states, most were in states with the highest numbers of illegal immigrants. California had the most offenders, followed by Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, New York and Florida.
Nearly 63 percent of the offenders had been deported on another offense prior to the sex crime, the study showed. There was an average of three years of committing crimes such as DUI, assault or drug related offenses prior to being apprehended for a sexual offense.

That's horrible. This goes back to where "if it is ok" in his country, he still needs to respect the laws in our country. Whenever I travel abroad, I learn about the culture and their laws so I can respect them. He should be held accountable.

I don't know what the law regarding rape is there, but I do know what a girl's male relatives would do to a person who raped her. He knew it was wrong, and likely knew it was illegal here. Besides, ignorance of the law is no excuse, and he had no business being here anyway. Do you suppose the Mexican authorities would let someone go with such a flimsy excuse? If they believe so strongly in his innocence maybe we should send all our convicted rapists there (after they serve time here). They should give them AMNESTY.
I think it is horrendous that their culture allows this, as I am sure the Indians are severely offended when they see americans eating their sacred cow. There should be 'world cultural laws' especially to protect children. Honestly... This happened to me. I was at a good will store with my 15 year old niece. 2 Mexican guys much older were following her all over the store. I finally told them she was only 15 and that they were making me and her very uncomfortable. One of the guys pulled a little pen knife out of his pocket and said i have a knife! OK. Go figure.?
Oh and then they left the store really quick.

I have not heard that story before but if it is true it is horrible. It would be horrible regardless the race or nationality of the child or the rapist.

Sorry but you have been feed misinformation. They deal very harshly with men who rape women. In some cases they face a firing squad. This is not true because whatever he believes doesn't count in an American court system. While here you follow our rules but actually in Mexico they deal more harshly with rapists.

ok first off wow. the mexican consulate should be shot as well. Ignorence is NO excuse for breaking the law. I believe that in Mexico the age of consent is 12 years old. He may have thought that she was fair game, as Mexican men like their chicas young.

To the previous posters who mentioned that not all illegals are rapists...and yes that's true...however, even ONE rape case is ONE too many. And it's not just one... currently there's over 250,000 sexual assault cases with the illegal alien as the perpetrator. It is irrelevant to point out that Americans rape too. We are talking about ILLEGAL aliens and all of their criminal acts.
