I think it would help the military because it would let these kids join and serve for two years and have a path for citizenship. I also like it because its not amnesty, if the kid doesnt go to college or join the military within 6 years of the residence the government would retract their residency
This will remain a dream.
It sounds nice, but it would be better if their parents would just enter the country legally.
(Yes, I know that it's sometimes just a bureaucratic mess, but quite a few just don't try.)
i think the DREAM ACT could be a great tool to incentive every undocumented student to keep up with their studies and that it would help to keep them from getting into other troubles such as becoming gang members and therefor non productive members of this society . in my opinion it would be a great message for them which would be that if them keep being out of troubles and keep doing something out of themselves then they would be given an opportunity . however this great bill has been stop several times and i think its really a shame and i wonder when will our representatives and senators will come to their senses about this matter .

I am completely against this "educational amnesty." Again, rewarding criminals is just WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG ...

If illegal aliens can have in-state tuition then I want in-state tuition too. Or should I become a mexican citizen and then sneak across the border into the US to get any kind of fricking help?

I personally think the bill is an excellent idea. I am still in high school and i have friends that are illegal and cant go to school to get a decent education, just because they are not citizens of the USA. This bill is helpful in many ways. More illegals can have a chance for a decent education and a decent future, its a good way to get a green card, it will help them to get a career started, the drop out rates will decrease, gang related activities will decrease, more people will join the military and aid in this war that is going on, and the antis cant call this amnesty, because the person will have to earn their way into this country. This will give hope for those kids that didn't have a choice to immigrate into this country illegally. I hope this bill passes, and i support it ever step of the way. I have seen how coming here illegally as a child can affect your way of life, and I know this bill can help them to reach that American Dream.
I really really like the idea. If the dream bill were to be passed it wouldn't be amnesty because it's not like the children of illegals had a choice to come here legally or not. Why not reward kids who have good morals and graduate from high school?
