What is a reasonable person to think. You provided no documentation. How were those illegals to be identified as sex offenders?
If an illegal alien was convicted of a crime 5 years ago, lets say a DUI like Paris, and he has been in this country for 12 years, owns a small shop, is married with 2 daughters, is that person to be lumped together with serious sex offenders?
I would like to see the text of the proposed amendment, with some pro and against views, before becoming hysterical.

they are trying to follow the leader of the free world 's thinking and it shows it is irrational and illogical to reject this but then they have shown time and again that the public is not what they care about it is money in the pocket and you can imagine just what corporations are willing to do to keep cheap labor in place
the amendment was seen as a "deal-breaker" by the very fragile coalition holding together this immigration bill. they also rejected amendments that were more favorable to illegals, for the same reason. Bush and some politicians are intent on passing this bill so that the last 6 years do not look like a total failure. If the immigration bill doesn't pass, then John Cornyn can propose this legislation again but separately, not piggybacking on this bill.
Well it will be difficult to find out how senators voted on the issue. Because (on this issue if immigration reform) they no longer are showing us who voted yes or no. They are only adding up tallies. This way it protects those whose constituents who have written them threatening to vote them out of their cushy jobs. Goes to show just how chicken sh*t our politicians really are on everything about illegals and how to deal with them.
Do you think in the end, we will find out why is it so important to them to not only champion the rights of illegals, but go the extra mile to grant it to also sex offenders, and such. Is La Raze and other pro amnesty groups have such power that they are giving away the store. I am in shock.

I will not support a bill that gives illegal immigrants with felonies amnesty except if that felony was something like shooting the senators that rejected the admendment.
