If we got rid of NAFTA we would have a lot of happy Americans, not sure how it would help or hurt illegal immigration, employers will always be looking for a way to exploit humans to get cheap labor.

I think NAFTA benefits Mexico more than the U.S. So, i think its elimination would have little impact on illegal immigration.
We had illegal immigration before NAFTA and we have it after NAFTA... so it would not impact illegal immigration.
The only way to impact illegal immigration is to build that fence, fine employers who employ illegals heavily and make it illegal to rent to illegal immigrants.
If those laws were enacted and enforced the illegals would be forced to go back home and fix their own countries instead of trying to change our to fit them.
as much as i hate NAFTA, I dont imagine that has any affect on your illegal immigration problem. But it should be scrapped anyway.

No. Immigration from Mexico predates the birth of the leaders who signed NAFTA.
I am a strong supporter of NAFTA, but I would threaten the Mexican government to improve economic conditions there or the US/Canada will revert back to the US-Canada FTA, which was the precursor to NAFTA involving just the USA and Canada.
Dude, big companies moved globally to cheaper workforce markets. The Mexicans came here. NAFTA failed.
US is so stupid, if we lived in Asia, we'd be overrun by Asians crossing our border illegally, wanting that "Better life" and we'd all be speaking Hindi, Thai, and Malaysian and STILL pressing 1 if we want English, the forgotten language in USA.

Hell yea it would help. Were the American people asked if we wanted NAFTA. The borders still need to be secured.
Ideally Mexico should be boycotted and the border completely shut down. Until Mexico takes the responsibility of caring for their poverty.
