You also forget that they have to have a job, but it is illegal for employers to hire illegal immigrants. It's just the Democrats wanting millions of new registered Democrats to increase their power, and the Republican pansies trying to do whatever they can to keep their own power not realizing how devestating that stupid bill would be if passed.
u have to have proof of residence: for example paystubs, utility bills, rent receipts,etc.

That's one of many problems with the bill. This is an awful law.
Bush is 100% wrong on this issue. But the only thing preventing this feom happening was that the Republican-led House was blocking it. I tried to warn people that if Democrats took over the House it would pave the way for this.
Like it or not, this is what people voted for. It was 100% predictable. But the press got people whipped up with the inflated Foley and Macaca stories.

This bill is bull... it's just a cover up to a blanket amnesty... for all these stipulations in the bill, we already have laws in place- we don't need a new bill only to enforce our current laws... they aren't going to enforce the ones in the bill either- it's just a cover up for a blanket amnesty.. same crap we heard 20 years ago... did it improve our situation.. heck no... we have tons more now- it's just amnesty... I wouldn't hold anything the bill says to heart, except that the illegals will get amnesty
I don't think that they will. I also don't think our government will enforce any laws the way they say either. In fact, I think more will come in hopes that they will be welcomed and receive another amnesty. This amnesty (oh, excuse me... immigration reform bill) is sending the wrong message. People really need to push for a more fair and appropriate action to be taken.
It's all just a joke. It makes no difference. Maybe we should just purchase Mexico and bow down to them. Maybe, just maybe that would make them happy. I don't know how many more hoops were are supposed to jump thru to appease the illegals.
Oh, so those illegals that came in after January 07 would have to wait another 20 years for amnesty. I see.
There is no way they will come forward and tell the truth.
Even as we speak, many more are swimming the Rio Grande and ranchers in Texas and Arizona are discovering new holes cut in their fences and more human defecation on their property. Doctors in the border towns have been busy all night and day delivering another Mexican woman's newborn... our latest new citizen. Meanwhile on Capitol Hill, they're trying to decide where to have lunch.
