The new Immigration deal. Is it amnesty?
Answer:
Yes it is amnesty. I do not agree with it. Illegals are criminals, our laws need enforcing not changed.
yes it is amnesty and no i do not agree with it
Of course it is amnesty. And no I don't agree with it.
Yes it is amnesty and no I do not agree with it.
Yes. No.
It's a better deal than what we're currently doing.
If it were "amnesty", then why are all the opponents complaining about having to pay a $5000 fine only to have to go back home and get on a waiting list???
I think it is amnesty, it seems like it's rewarding for breaking the law. But I agree with it because it's a compromise. Something needs to be done with the issue. And the people who are here illegally want to work and are willing to. So they the US will see the tax dollars on their labor. So it'll turn out a win/win situation.
It is amnesty to those who can afford it and those who can not afford it will just continue to be illegal aliens and working, living and educating here against the law and at the taxpayers expense, nothing much will change except some will receive a gift of citizenship when lots of others had to work and go through proper channels.
Yes it is amnesty
No I do not agree
The new immigration deal IS amnesty. Next Congress will give amnesty to all who have murdered in the US, the executives of Arthur Anderson and Enron, and anyone else who has broken the law before January 1, 2007, and then reward them for only wanting to better themselves.
12 million in reality will be 30 million in 10 years and won't stop ILLEGALS!
ILLEGAL Immigration #1 concern...
If we don't stop the Kennedy - McCain insanity bill we will be like Iraq 20 yrs down the road with Mexicans being the Sunni's; D's being the Shia's and R's being the Kurds
WE ALL HAVE TO DO OUR PART AND DEMAND WHAT 'WE, THE PEOPLE' WANT.CONTACT CONGRESS TODAY BY EMAIL OR PHONE.

Absolutely.
Most definitely not.
Hopefully it will be shot down when it reaches the House.
It is, and I DO NOT agree with it.
You're rewarding these people for being criminals, and letting them get off with a slap on the wrist!!! They will do nothing but gorge themselves on welfare like they have been for years.
They need to be rounded up and deported, regardless of how long it takes, or how controversial it is. We have to take our country back from these invaders before it's too late.
It is NOT amnesty. The people that are here illegally will have to pay a penalty. That, in and of itself, is not amnesty. Amnesty is when there is no penalty. The majority of Americans, myself included, do not like out current situation with immigration. We want secure borders. I do not agree with the proposal, but it's better than nothing. We cannot let the fact that it is not perfect prevent us from doing something.
That is exactly what it is and EVERY SWNGING jackass (Democrat or Republican) that votes for it Should BE IMMEDIATELY IMPEACHED, TRIED FOR TREASON, hung for not upholding their Oaths of Office to uphold the law, Protect American Citizens First and Observe the United States Constitution or the Bill of Rights. They are not Loyal to their Country or it's Citizens. They have another Agenda that smacks of Communism!
This is what anarchy begins to look like! They ae Rewarding Evil with Good and letting Law Breakers off the hook! If that's the case, Open the doors of every Prison and Let them all out too! Yeah Right! As for me and My house, I will keep my weapons close by! Enter at your own risk!
No it is not amnesty. Amnesty is a free ride to residency. The Z visa is simply a two year temporary workers permit. Dureing this time they can work and live here. Than they have to go back to their country and apply again. the biggest plus side to this visa would be that people with legal family members (say a husband and wife) would be able to stay here and work for the 2 years and during that time apply for a residency while working enstead of having to go back and apply and spend up to 2 years away from their spouse. It is a way to allow them to become legal. It is simply put a path way to a residency and a possibility to do what before was impossible for many american families.
For the republicans out there it is also a way to track and monitor immigrants and if you didn't know people with this visa will not be allowed to use it to apply for other family member to come here. Which the current visas do.
This is the best idea that congress has had yet. Still needs tweeking but it is getting there.
If you think its amsnesty, you haven't read any of the details.
Honestly, how many will ever pay the $5000 and go home, just to get on a waiting list to come back, when they are already here?
No it isn't amensty.
Those who say it just want to turn up the heat.
To pay 5,000 in fines and back taxes, they have to work to their path to citzenship, learn to speak English, and go to the back of the line to apply isn't a free ticket.
it's not amnesty, they have to pay. if they don't know English when they take the test they will get turned away. all they are doing is enforcing the immigration law. the illegals are not getting what they want.
