If I wanted to spend one year in the USA,what should I do?

well if you want to be here permantly you will have to go through the citizen process if you just want to visit for a while you just need to get a passport and fly over whatever city you want and then enjoy yourself
Apply for a tourist visa and enjoy your year long vacation in US.
Contact a local US consulate for accurate information.
Build a bomb shelter
Youd need a passport.They would check your records and crap.Im sure if yuo have a passport you can stay here as long as youd like.But if you did like it youd have to go to an immigrantion office.
If you are skilled you can get a work visa.

If I were you ,I would first go to the US embassy in Italy and ask some questions. Italy is a beautiful country.It is always nice to visit new places but I think you will want to go back to Italy when you see the sad state of America.
Coming here to America will frustrate your life..
You will find that America is a great life better than you are use to or have grown a custom to, if there is no legal way for you to live here I suggest you never see this place it can upset the balance of you having a good life else where.
