Thanks for the link. i think there was definitely an agenda behind that article.
Most employers and other citizens aren't racist, if they don't bend over backward for them it seems like people cry discrimination.
All I'm saying is yes they need to assimilate and lets keep things in perspective, maybe given what New Yorkers have been through a little mistrust is inevitable.
i don't think that this provided any evidence to assimilation or not. if they want to practice their religion (whilst not hurting anyone of course), then they should do that. would you change your culture for another?? most ppl wouldn't. But the article didn't really address anything else in regards to assimilation.
