Test to become a citizen of Canada or America? Fair?!!?
I don't because if Canadians or/and Americans had to take the test that immigrants have to take to become citizens of that country, I don't think many people that reside in Canada or America right now would pass. But then again it is good to learn about a country you want to live in.
What do you think? Have you taken the test, was it easy?
Answer:
You want to become Canadian or American, you should quityourbitchin' and take the test.
Our country is full. We don't need any more immigrants. STAY WHERE YOU ARE, WE DON'T WANT YOU.
I think everyone should have to take the test to graduate high school in their respective nations.
Also, immigrants should have to take the test. If they can pass it in English or English/French in Canada, they should become a citizen unless they are a terrorist.
yeagh..the test i took was very hard,it was called the '' paying taxes'' test..it was hard on my brain knowing i'm paying taxes all my life and some new guy comes here ( america ) a half hour ago and finds a better paying job than i have.So yeagh..FAIR!!.??..hmmm,you tell me.
I helped a person study for the test. Any fourth grader can pass that test. It is fair.
I was born in the USA and learned about American History in high school and also at the university. I'd need a quick review, but I bet I could pass that test... and hell yes, I think you should know about the constitution and our branches of government if you want to live here. There are people sponging off this government and can't even tell you who the governor of their state is.
I do think that it's fair, but the comment "I helped a person study for the test. Any fourth grader can pass that test. It is fair. " is not correct. Any fourth grader could not pass that test... there are study materials on the USCIS website under civics and citizenship study materials, check them out. I think that it is fair to have someone who wants to become a citizen take a test on the history of the nation, and I do agree that we as citizens should have to take it to graduate also.
I have read over an example test for the USA and yes there is alot you need to learn. And your right alot probably couldnt pass it. I know I could though.
well for America I think it is fair as for Canada i have never seen it so i dont know.
If you aren't interested in the country of which you are trying to become a citizen, it is likely you are a gold digger, interested only in financial gain. If you don't like it in your home country because there aren't enough opportunities for you, why should a western country be interested in you if you have that attitude? You should keep searching to find a country in which you are legitimately interested, otherwise you don't belong.
I think that if you are trying to become a citizen of a country you dang well better learn all you can about that country.
