They are being penalized and you don't see it that way.But hey, you don't want this bill? Thats fine, because by doing NOTHING, is by de facto amnesty, ever consider that?
This is amnesty even though the supporters of the bill don't call it that, and it is not increased border security even though the supporters of the bill do call it that.
I think it is pretty well defined by this 'new' immigration bill or amnesty bill - criminals suddenly become legal
For those that say this is a de facto amnesty like Feinstein and McCain:
It is only a de facto amnesty because you refuse to enforce the law. What you are saying is screw what the people want, I want amnesty and I will have it legally (pass my bill) or illegally, don't pass the bill and I will do nothing. I will continue to look the other way.
The fact is, our politicians are no better than terrorists. They hold enforcement of our laws and securing our borders hostage to granting amnesty. They absolutely refuse to secure the border without the amnesty.
Problem is the enforcement part is only a promise and we have plenty of experience with their promises. Where's the fence we were promised? Oh that's right, it was only a promise. Can't expect a politician to keep their promises can we.
The only thing the American people would have gotten from this shamnesty is the bill ( 2.6 Trillion)and more illegal aliens waiting for the next shamnesty.
It means letting a load of law-breakers get away with their crimes, and giving them a REWARD as well, while Bush sucks up to his buddy in Mexico and big business.
