Has anybody heard?
Answer:
A great bill, the price rise probably won't be that much.
and it will create work for all those middle class people who are unemployed
100%
I would support this law in Florida. We have a big problem with illegals down here.
I'd support it. I live in Michigan.
Yes I would. Jobs are hard enough to find and I pay taxes!!
NC and florida
about time..sheesh.
the only bad thing about that is now they're all gonna come to vegas.
I live in Florida, and YES, i would approve.
I'm not sure but I believe the part about firing them is the federal law that is in effect now. We found 6 employees using the same SS number a few years ago and they were fired immediately. They were very good workers by the way.
The only thing is, how can you be sure they are illegal? If there is some way to check that out, I would be in favor of that legislation.
Now we're talking. Yes all the way with this bill. I live in NY and we really need something like this.
I was behind a pick up truck yesterday with three people up front and one riding in the back. The truck came to a stop, the guy in the back hopped out, and also the guy driving. The guy that was driving pulled cash out of his pocket and paid the other guy in the middle of the road while all the traffic waited.
We really need a law like this, I'm all for it.
California would never do it because they need the illegals to pick the crops... but it would be a great thing. Governor Arnold is a socialist / communist in republican's clothing.
I've heard about it, and am happy about it, but my hopes aren't up all the way yet - they haven't even had their first wave of court battles for this yet (how ironic - people suing because people are enforcing the law). This time might be different, however - unlike a rinky-dink town like Hazleton PA here and there - it's the STATE doing it this time.
Hopefully we can see quicker enforcement than we have elsewhere.
Good. I hope most states follow de example and do something similar if they want survive this disaster.
I'm waiting for complete anarchy to erupt in Arizona. I can see it now: Millions across the country taking ANOTHER day off in protest of this "racist" law.
Maybe while they're off of work, employers ought to check and verify their employment records.
Hell yes i would! people dont think we have a problem with it up here but we do. We r giving out id cards to illegals!! Im from CT
I think they should all follow suit. We need to cut off the food chain. Florida
I do approve it and I live in Arizona.
Within eight minutes of its signing by Governor Napolitano, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce issued a statement calling it "a crippling blow to Arizona business."
The legislation also includes propositions that could lead to illegal immigrants obtaining citizenship or legal status.
So, really, the point of this bill is to reprimand businesses that take advantage of the illegal status of their workers by paying below the federally mandated minimum wage and/or not provide benefits for full-time hourly employment.
The point of this bill is not to expel all the illegal immigrants, as I'm sure Governor Napolitano is acutely aware of the economic impact this would have on her state - and, subsequently, the great unhappiness there would be within the private sector, and the potentially detrimental repercussions that could befall the Arizona republican party.
This Is just the beginning. You are going to see a lot more of these kind of laws, because the AMERICAN PUBLIC has had enough. Amnesty will NEVER be granted again, and hopefully these laws will have their intended effect. Illegals might as well start packing now, because you aint seen nothin yet!
There are already plenty of laws on the books. No more laws are needed at this time. What is needed is for the current laws to be enforced and violators prosecuted according to the law. You can have all the laws you like but without enforcement they do no good at all.
please with no illegals working, this country would die! Just look around you and see how many hours all of those poor mexicans work each day to give to their families. Dont you feel for them? Most of them even work 2-3 jobs and the only reason they do that is because life is so hard in their countries. Please support illegals and make them legal is they arent harmful to anyone, which most are just seeking for better lives. I dont support that law for ANY states at all. Illegals deserve much better.
These are laws that are already prevailent within the Federal laws. The states all need to get on the ball and make these laws enforcable.
Sounds like a great plan to me. I'm in Pa,from what I have been reading, our state is trying to pass something similar.
The law will be overturned. Only the Federal government can make and enforce immigration law.
This has been tried in the past by states..it's unConstitutional.
