Earn your U.K. citizenship...?

what are the new U.K. citizenships rules ?

what is this point based system ?

i heard australia too had similar point based system, can any one compare both and mention the similarities and diffrences among them ?

I heard about a clause"the younger in age, the better" but what is the criteria for defining younger age or over age ?

Answer:
The point system works when the government places up lists of what they want from desirable immigrants. For example in Australia we have a ageing population with not enough teachers. So therefore if you are young (under 30) and have a kid, married and both of you are trained as teachers (university level) you would get extra points. The time that you apply can depend on what is needed by Australia (although if you couldn't support yourself and didn't finish high school and have an STD we probably wouldn't want you under any circumstances). You would have to check out the Department of Immigration if you wanted more details.

Can't give you any info on the UK rules.. and I haven't heard anything about them yet.
