Is this great news or what?

Answer:
Faith, undocumented entry in to the United States is a misdemeanor not a felony !
lol yes great news. waste tax payers money so that they can come back again, then we'll deport them again and waste more money, so they can come back again. Thats a great idea.
i doubt they will keep it up though. they think there are 12 million illegals in the u.s. now but experts think there are well over 20 million. a few raids and a few hundred deportations are not going to make a dent. there are hundreds that come over daily just from mexico.
sounds great. x
Yes,it is.
yeah! thats so awesome
Excellent news!!
They're kidding aren't they? Who do they think they are fooling? Not us. And to top it off, make the illegal legal? See what happenes if we were in their country. Lucky if they would give us a decent meal no matter how loud we would scream. Treat the illegals the way they would treat us, and they cry foul. Deportations Great if they "do it" and not just mouth off. But then could this be another mouthing to kid us into thinking that deportation is here? Great question though.
you'll all be happy until the grass in your yard is two feet tall and the shrubs are dying? Face it you need each other
I suppose you noticed that the arrests did NOT include people from Mexico...only those from other countries.
All those "plumetting" figures means that the border hoppers have moved 25 miles east or west..
As soon as Del Rio lightens up, the Feebies leave, they'll be back.
They are doing more than deportations - THEY ARE ENFORCING THE LAW -
Glory!!!
"They are arresting, prosecuting, and locking up every illegal alien for six months and then deporting them."
It sounds great, but Armando does have a point. Unless we're also implementing plans which prevent illegal immigration from happening again, and unless these cities are dedicated to the deportation routine long-term - nothing's getting solved.
Yeah they do this for now, but are looking to pass this at the same time. Back to beating down their evil deeds.
Senate and House Re-introduce Massive Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Working in Agriculture

Yaaaaahoooooooo lets streamline the whole dam border.
About friggin' time!...Should have done this a long time ago!.
And before anyone starts crying "Racist!", I welcome any Mexican to the country, as long as he/she enters the LEGAL WAY.
Do what we are doing in Washington State with our illegals. We have been rounding them up and telling them they are going to be deported and that they can leave their anchor children with legal friends or family or they can take them back to their own country. Finally my State has gotten a backbone and is using the true interpretation of our constitutional amendment which is that just because you have a child in the United States does not give you the right to be or live here. Lets go one step further if you are deported for illegal entry to the United States whether you have family here or not you should forfeit any opportunity to ever become a citizen of the United States. They would all leave so fast there would be skid marks. What is ruining this country is that criminals (illegal immigrants) have been rewarded in the past for their criminal actions. Which is their illegal immigration to the United States by giving them amnesty. Why would illegals think that they have to abide by any of our laws when our Government gives them a free pass to citizenship for breaking the law? Put pressure on your local government to get them to start rounding up illegals and sending them back to where they came from! There are way to many people who have waited and are waiting to come to the United States legally why reward liars, cheats and thieves. Get on it folks it's within our hands to stop this trend!
Say it aint SO! I dont believe my eyes and ears. Suppose I will wake up soon?
I agree with a lot, first, that is good news. People here whining that we still have so many here. We do, but at least people are working to secure the borders. That is the first step in all of this. Anyone here old enough to remember the Flintstones original cartoons? Fred tosses the cat out the door, the cat jumps in through the window? Well, secure the borders first. Then we might start seeing states taking action.
Georgia has as well, and they are self-deporting from there now.

Secure the borders, take away the benefits they are now using, and they will leave. Then they won't be coming in by the thousands a day. I will take a drop from 7,000 to 200 any day.
Thanks for the great news. Nothing better than finding a reason to smile. Felons don't belong here. Illegal entry to the US is a felony offense.
Thanks for the great news!
YES! Thanks for the link!
Its a start.
great news. i'd give ya a star but it keeps telling me i need to enable java script to do that. and my spell check is not even there. but thumbs up to ya bud. what great news, can you see my smile?
Stopping the influx is very important. It would be harder to rid our nation of illegals if they continue coming in. Border security and deportation efforts must be concurrent. Thanks for the links folks. Looks like there are many we need to "deport" out of the Senate and House as well.
I am doing my happy dance!
Yes, John S, it IS great news. Thanks for sharing.
OK, now I see what you are talking about. The other link was old. I have heard this called a 'zero tolerance zone', and I agree that it has been very effective.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...
arlier this week, Congressman John Culberson visited the Mexican border to learn more about a zero tolerance program called Operation Streamline. This common sense program is deterring border crossings and dramatically reducing illegal immigration.
“The Del Rio sector is now closed to illegal immigrants thanks to the initiative of local Federal District Judge Alia Ludlum and Border Patrol Chief Randy Hill. In their sector, they are no longer tolerating illegal aliens coming into the United States and they are insisting that the law be enforced.
“The effect has been dramatic. They are arresting, prosecuting, and locking up every illegal alien for six months and then deporting them. Before Operation Streamline began, they had about 7000 aliens illegally crossing the border every month from countries other than Mexico. Last month they had about twenty.
“This proves we can protect the border with existing laws and existing resources. Once word got out that illegal aliens were being prosecuted, illegal crossings plummeted. Law enforcement works and it is protecting our communities and our nation.
“Unfortunately there is a systematic and deliberate refusal to enforce immigration laws along the rest of the border. It’s outrageous and I will not rest until our borders are secure and we have zero tolerance from Brownsville to San Diego.”
Operation Streamline is a partnership between the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas – Del Rio Division, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Marshal’s Office, and the ICE Office of Detention and Removal. The Del Rio Sector experienced a 38 percent drop in apprehensions during FY’06, and a further 52 percent reduction in FY ’07 so far. The reduction in illegal immigration has allowed the Border Patrol to focus on preventing crossings by terrorists and drug smugglers. Prior to Operation Streamline, many illegal aliens were released into the United States after they were caught.
